Been a little surprised how few teams have played starters. I know Week 1 of preseason is usually one drive but in the few games it's been all backups.

I'm guessing after all the injuries last season teams are trying to stay as healthy as possible with starters and judge depth. Could mean a few rusty teams first few weeks.

If it's an entrenched unit with little turnover on the roster or in the booth , I can see it. At that stage most of the power players have already been through the gamut of learning and using the playbook, game situations, and the like. Frankly if not for the churn at WR I imagine we wouldn't see much of our starting offensive skill players in the preseason, either.
