I agree with that. That's why I proceeded to mention that he should consider going back to the VP route he took in 2016/2017 with Tom Coughlin. 

We seem to lack a strong football head of operations that can bind the two together, between the personnel department and coaching staff. A mind such as Ozzie Newsome's, hell, give me Bill Belichick in that role if no team wants him as a football coach.

But, somebody that's been around football forever, has a proven track record in a wide variety of roles, knows talent when they see it, and, can make final decisions that outweigh the GM or HC if they find it necessary. 

The reason I mentioned Khan, is, he's just invested in Lawrence for the long haul with a pretty big contract extension, and, he's fixing to fork over some more of his money to get this new stadium done within this decade. 

Protecting and doing anything and everything you can to elevate the face of your franchise? That has to be his highest priority, even as a businessman, he has to know that, he has to see that. He's not dumb...
