I am concerned about the idea they want to make all smoking tobacco and marijuana illegal outside. Most businesses already have no smoking signs but if it’s going to be illegal to smoke in my car or in a public open area where do you expect people to smoke? 

What’s everyone else’s thoughts on Amendment 3

I don't particularly care one way or another.  I am not a marijuana user (currently).  In my younger days I used to smoke it a lot, but that was many, many years ago.  The last couple of times I have tried a little bit it made me physically sick (as in puking my guts out).  I also don't like the fact that after "coming down" and the next day I tend to feel very tired and lazy.

On one hand, I don't really care what adults decide to put into their bodies whether it's tobacco or marijuana smoke.  I do think that certain areas outdoors should be designated as "smoking areas" that are out of the way of the general public.  As an example, I don't smoke marijuana but my daughter does.  She came to visit once and went out on our back porch to do her thing.  When I walked out later to sit on the porch and enjoy my refreshment, the smell was awful.  So now if she comes to visit the designated area for her is away from the porch or the house.

On the other hand, I don't really want a bunch of stoned people on the highways.  I don't buy the "I can drive better when I'm stoned" argument that I hear from so many people.  Under the influence means "impaired" and they are still impaired whether they believe it or not.  Some of our highways and roadways are dangerous enough without having a bunch of impaired drivers.

As far as medical use, I am pretty much for it.  I watched a few family members go through some tough times dealing with cancer, MS and other inflictions that told me that a bit of marijuana made them feel better.  If I had a condition that was painful or uncomfortable I would much rather get stoned rather than take some kind of strong opioid pain killer.
