What you mean to say is if someone is arrested for a crime, and found to be in the country illegally, they should then be prosecuted for that crime as well as the civil infraction of overstaying their visa.  That's complicated.  Those are usually two different judges and two different prosecutors.  Maybe there's a way to untangle it.

The ones being arrested for theft or violent crimes didn't get here by "overstaying their visa", they walked in through the Biden-Harris open border.

It's not difficult to deport people like these.

He was arrested again in the state in September and again ICE’s request was denied.

Trejo-Granados had been ordered deported by a federal immigration judge in Newark, New Jersey, in November 2022, but ICE had not been able to take him into custody.

This is a result of democrats like you in blue cities letting these people go rather than deport them.
