The worst part of that response by Trump, to me, was when the wandered into claiming that taxing other countries (I guess he means tariffs) would balance the budget.  That is a preposterous claim.  Raising 2 Trillion dollars in tariffs would mean an increased cost of living of over $6,000 for every man, woman, and child in the country.  As a result, the income tax base would crash from everyone declaring bankruptcy.  I don't think Trump has 2 brain cells in his head.

And then what happens when those other countries put tariffs on our exports?  So not only are we raising the cost of living for everyone, but now we can't export our products.  We'll have a lot of soybeans to eat, but TV sets and laptops will be incredibly expensive.   

I couldn't watch the whole thing because the commentator kept interrupting to point out that Trump was pumping out gibberish.  I don't need someone to point that out.
