The offensive starters showed good efficiency in pre season, I look to see that continue. I will also be watching the defensive line hoping we can rattle Tua a lot and not let them burn us deep with Waddle and Hill. At the same time, we can't let Mostert and Achane beat us either.

This is so he can control the narrative. If it works, he'll claim it was Press. If it isn't working, he'll claim he's been calling most of the plays. He really wants to protect Press for whatever reason and he knows this year is it for him if the offense struggles. Someone will be forced to take the fall and Press would be it. Now Doug can keep that from happening somewhat.

At least Press is on the sideline.  I feel like Doug can just walk over and override anything foolish they try to do.
