Although I do think generally that Mayock was playing off the idea that is almost universally agreed upon today, which says that if Kap and Wilson's draft-class were redrafted, knowing what we know now, that they'd both be top-5 picks. And perhaps that's the point Mayock is driving home to teams like Jaguars and others, who passed on Kap and Wilson that year. He hears everybody still crying today, ooooh I wish my team would have picked Kap or Wilson. But Mayock seems to be saying that there is a QB in THIS draft-class that is better than both of them, and some of the same teams(Jaguars included) who 'missed' on Kap and Wilson in past years could be in danger of doing the same to an even better QB in Manziel this year.

That IMO is Mayock's point. I hope that made sense, what do you think Kick? 

 

Yeah, that does make sense.  Honestly, I wouldn't hate Manziel at 3 if Clowney is gone, but what really bugs me is how much Mayock has switched up his rankings from just Pro Days.  It makes me feel like he's factoring them into the equation too much, and I really doubt teams have done anything close to that.

 

If the Jaguars like Manziel enough to draft him at 3, they've liked him for a long time.
