Why can’t this team handle adversity?

We just aren't very good. The team cannot deliver when it matters. Tactically in the game when it matters, or strategically as a franchise. Maybe we will get there overtime if we stay the course, we've had two winning seasons in a row. But right now, even in our extremely limited success, the team can't get it done when it matters.
