But a candidate does show their mentality, their ability to focus, deal with pressure, and maintain emotional equilibrium on that stage, and Trump did not do well last night. Republicans have painted Harris as an empty suit, and mentally deficient, and clearly she was much more than that last night. A President has to be able to deal with world leaders one-on-one, under pressure, and he didn't look like someone who would be able to do that, and she did. His answer about replacing Obamacare was also a disaster, with him saying he had a concept, and was looking at various things. He's had 9 years to figure that one out. She played on his narcissism, constantly baiting him, and he swallowed the hook every time. Immigrants are eating our cats and dogs, they're killing newborn babies in Virginia, my rallies are the best rallies ever... she pushed his buttons and brought out the worst side of him. No one should vote based on the outcome of a debate, but it does give you a chance to see how the two candidates operate under pressure, and I think she did a lot better than he did. |
