3 of their 5 drives in the second half began with a run of 2 yards or less on 1st down.

4 of the 5 second downs went like this:
2 yard run
1 yard run
0 yard run
-4 yard sack

The second half was not the same for the run game minus two attempts that broke loose, one of which ended in a turnover.

The offense laid an egg int he second half.
We can quibble about whose poor execution affected them most and whether or not other play calls might have ended with better execution, but they can't keep going to the well with the run when it isn't working.

Unfortunately they'll face a better secondary this week, so it isn't quite as simple as just letting Trevor air it out.
Thought I expect they'll cautiously attempt to ramp his production up this week anyway.

The offense was fine until ETN fumbled the ball. They really weren't bad after as I've shown repeatedly since then, the simple lack of execution on the 1 yard attempts and Kirk's 3rd down drop were the problem.

Right, and I've just added to the equation 7 early down plays in the second half that also failed in execution somehow.

Of the 10 plays on 1st or 2nd down in that half, 6 were runs of 2 yards or less and one was a sack.

You don't have to pin the poor performance late in the game on two plays. Plenty of these poorly executed downs could have been chunk yardage chain movers.

I think the wheels came off that offense in the second half outside of two pass plays and two chunk runs, they just flailed.
