And if I lose a baby at 2 months, it’s considered a spontaneous abortion, but you know that’s not the kind of abortion we are talking about. He's always trying to obfuscate the intent by applying non-applicable scenarios to the discussion. It's his way.

Abortion is not the end of the life of the child/fetus. Abortion as a medical term is talking about the pregnancy, that's why abortion can be natural/spontaneous or induced and induced abortions do not have to include ending the life of the child/fetus. Abortion as a political hot potato is talking about ending the life of the child/fetus without regard to the fact that the pregnancy is also ending.

We're by default discussing the second type and when it occurs, so we've eliminated his first sentence above as the intended distraction it is.
