If your statement is that we need to have less personal attacks in politics, of course I agree with you! I am never the first person to personally attack anyone on this board.  

The problem is, you don't agree with you.

Have you ever called anyone on this board out for making personal attacks? Have you ever once asked anyone on this board to lay off of anyone else? 

Once personal attacks start, substantive discussion ends. So this place rarely has any substantiative discussion. I still find it entertaining, but if you want to complain about that, do something about it first!

A personal attack is a sign of defeat.  When people run out of intelligent things to say, they go to the insults and personal attacks.  Sometimes, it's out of frustration that they can't make a better argument.  And sometimes, they've just run out of things to say, and they can't let the other person "win."  And then there are some people who aren't intelligent enough to do anything but make a personal attack.  We know who those are.
