How you thought I was asking you to define disinformation is beyond me, but it's a waste of time to address that train wreck of a thought. Look, I even conceded that Trump shouldn't be repeating it, but that's not even good enough for you to avoid jerking yourself off all over this thread. 

The reality is Trump is a man of the people because he gets his news the same as the people. He saw in on the computer or TV. He feels the same sentiment as the people and repeats it. You can call that lying if you want, but it's more ignorance, and it's what I expect of the dude. I don't care because the problem IS the government. With Trump, you are going to get a very rich, but informed populist. With Kamala, you're going to get a polished liar who will get rich on the taxpayer dime by selling us down the river. The latter is FAR more offensive to me than the first (which is the actual takeaway, Marty).

Our government does not work for us, and you're too busy patting yourself on the back because you "proved" a rumor wasn't true. That's super helpful. The nation thanks you for your service. You're the real hero.

We are bombarded by it from every angle via internet and media of all sorts.

You have repeatedly shown an affinity to lap it up like a starved kitten when you've advanced unfounded garbage on this MB on at least 7 occasions I can actually think of and certainly many more I've ignored.

He doesn't believe in truth, he believes in narrative. And he insists he must believe that because long ago the Marxists gave up their pursuit of truth and embraced narrative, and to fail to engage them on that level is unilateral disarmament.  If you don't see this you are either deluded or attempting to delude him, he says.

And, cards on the table, he's not totally wrong.  We as individuals do decide that certain truths are meaningful, and others are not, and we take our meaningful truths and build narratives with them.  Some of the Marxists that remain out there in the field have indeed embraced storytelling rather than academic argument as their vehicle of persuasion.  He has decided to assign meaning to this small number of Marxists and dedicate himself to countering them.  I don't begrudge him that.

Where I draw the line is, don't lie! Select your truths, sure, but don't embrace lies.  He doesn't draw the line there.
