He had another receiver running a go route and isolated with the outside corner. I think that's just a bad read.

I am willing to bet, as the SS did there. He sat on that inside route which would have allowed that go route to be isolated.

You know what, I got the plays wrong...  Check out the above video at the 1 minute mark.

I got the 2 plays mixed up.  My bad!  But it's weird how similar they both are...  I still would argue it's the play design that's the problem on both.
