I think the point is that the play design was trash. Pick route or no pick rout, the concept was to get ETN on a wheel rout on a DB that is waiting for it.

Pause the video at 2:11. Look how empty the middle of the field is. In 2022 there was always a crosser, usually our TE that would be streaking into that open space. We don't do any route concepts that expose the middle of the hash marks. It's been just not good for so long now.

I just don't know why we don't always have some guy coming into the middle of the field to give Trevor an easy pass and catch. It's just bad offensive coaching.
