Pause the video at 2:11.  Look how empty the middle of the field is.  In 2022 there was always a crosser, usually our TE that would be streaking into that open space.  We don't do any route concepts that expose the middle of the hash marks.  It's been just not good for so long now. 

I just don't know why we don't always have some guy coming into the middle of the field to give Trevor an easy pass and catch.  It's just bad offensive coaching.

It's not a DB it's a linebacker for chrissakes,  and ETN beats those guys like a drum on routes pretty regularly when given the chance. Getting ETN one-on-one with a LB is ALWAYS a good idea and not a bad design. 

This particular LB took a great angle and had good coverage on the play. 

Plus, like I said, when the DB on the TE played off instead of press, it spoiled the chance of the LB being slowed down by a legal pick. 

That's where the critique of the play should start. 
There should have been an audible at the line when they saw Strange's guy playing off - something to alert ETN into a come-back, curl, crosser, back shoulder, whatever, anything but a straight wheel to the corner of the EZ. 

The shallow cross would be my choice and it also suits your desire for more stuff int the middle of the field. 
Even though you always conveniently ignore what they already run there so you can complain that it never happens.
