Lawrence did not have the arm Lawrence had but he got those ducks where they needed to go.  Bortles had to suffer through Dave Caldwell's horrible reign of drafting and building a staff as well.  If you put Bortles in his prime on this team I would bet it all that we would be a much better team.  Bortles by no means was a good NFL QB but IMO better than we have seen from Lawrence.

Just listen to the talking heads tomorrow dawg out lawrence again and it will keep getting louder. Signing that contract may have been the biggest mistake in franchise history. That is saying a ton considering our past.

Bortles is not a better QB. You say put him in his prime? Bortles best season , 2017, was outperformed by Trevor in 2022 so no, he’s not better than what we’ve seen from Lawrence. He never had a true “prime”. Trevor hasn’t even come close to the some of the ineptitude Bortles produced (exhibit A: the foot interception, or the throw into the back of his teammates helmet. Butt fumble level). Also Bortles had a true number 1 receiver in A Rob in 2015 and 2016 so that’s also false.

You saying TL is worse than them really just shows how dumb you are when it comes to football. Guarantee if you sat 32 GMs down and asked them to pick from one of those three to draft in their “prime”, the answer is Trevor, every time.

Just to shut you up with facts and not opinon.  David Garrard had a career rating of 85 vs Lawrence 84. David Garrard also was much more deadly with his legs.  I would 100% take David Garrard vs Trevor Lawrence both in their prime.

Bortles is close with Lawrence. Borltes career rating was 80 vs Lawrence 84 but again I would take a prime Bortles over a Prime Lawrence.   Even in 2022 Lawrence had moments of wild inconsistency.  Bortles had guts and used his legs wisely at times. He had his bad years but look who was his head coach, and look at his supporting staff. For gods sake when Bortles was playing we would get blown out by 20 points and then have an Ice Cream party in the locker room.


Our current starting QB is no doubt one of the worst and possibly the worst in the league. Don't take my word on it.  Watch what the experts say like ex PLayers, hall of fame coaches, and others who do all the sports radio shows. There is a consensus. across the NFL that Lawrence isn't good.  I know I maybe being obtuse, but I think I am going to believe the Crews of NFL network and Espn (that consistent of said players and coaches I mentioned earlier) than the great genius SamasAranX over on the duval pride message board.
