Tony Wiggins cooks up a feast about the current state of the Jaguars

He’s absolutely right about one thing. Lawerence regardless of what anyone thinks about him is going to be here for at least one more coaching staff starting next year.
That assumes we stay on this trajectory which I don’t think anyone who is watching this team doubts we will, and that we end up with a top 10, top 5, or top 3 pick. This staff unfortunately has not shown they can develop players and that’s not limited to Lawerence but he is our most important one. Unfortunately for a Doug Pederson coached team this is the second QB of his that’s a top 5 pick and comes out guns blazing and then due to injuries and a plethora of reasons regreses in year 2-3… the first was Carson weintz. In 2-3 years from now with the rising salary cap and QBs continuing to inflate their total salaries the Lawerence contract will somewhat level out. So Lawerence’s clock is officially ticking with this next staff.. I hope this organization realizes that, as we all seem to, and hires a coach who can not only develop QBs but also bring an innovative offensive scheme that utilizes the personnel we do have, and builds an offense the right way (OL!!) |
