You ran it three times in a row, and completely failed, so, fourth times a charm? That's what frustrated me about that whole series. It was maybe the one lone spot where I could really criticize the coaching staff. 

That whole series of events was just bad. After Bigsby cracked that long run open, and was gassed, they should have called a timeout with 1st and goal to get their house in order. Something I would really, really like to see Doug do more of moving forward now in those situations if they're available for use. 

If you're going to call QB draw on that series? Fine. Just do it on 1st and goal in my opinion. With an RPO element. Don't do it from the gun with no lead blocking elements as well if you're expecting Bigsby to do it back-to-back-to-back. 

I saw Houston do it in this game though. I see the Chiefs do it quite a bit as well as a few other teams. But, when you're inside the 5, 10 yard line, they really do need to be more creative with pre snap motion, misdirection and play action. This lining it up and running it [BLEEP] doesn't work all the time. 

Even the run heavy teams like the 49ers, Eagles and Ravens know this and they at the minimum mix in at least one or two play calls that offer some element of freezing the defense or getting the linebackers to move left or right just enough to move the coverage away from a potential TD opportunity.

Timeout or better yet just install a package of a handful of plays that get called after a big gain.  The whole delays of game or guys getting gassed after big gains has been a problem all year.  Have 3 or 4 plays that the offense knows 1 of which is going to get called after a 25+ yard gain or whatever and don't call for the guy that just ran his [BLEEP] off with the ball to get the ball again immediately on the next play.  Then proceed as normal on 2nd down and sub guys in and out as needed.  These issues shouldn't be there in year 3 of a Doug Pederson led offense.
