You ran it three times in a row, and completely failed, so, fourth times a charm? That's what frustrated me about that whole series. It was maybe the one lone spot where I could really criticize the coaching staff. 

That whole series of events was just bad. After Bigsby cracked that long run open, and was gassed, they should have called a timeout with 1st and goal to get their house in order. Something I would really, really like to see Doug do more of moving forward now in those situations if they're available for use. 

If you're going to call QB draw on that series? Fine. Just do it on 1st and goal in my opinion. With an RPO element. Don't do it from the gun with no lead blocking elements as well if you're expecting Bigsby to do it back-to-back-to-back. 

I saw Houston do it in this game though. I see the Chiefs do it quite a bit as well as a few other teams. But, when you're inside the 5, 10 yard line, they really do need to be more creative with pre snap motion, misdirection and play action. This lining it up and running it [BLEEP] doesn't work all the time. 

When you use jet sweeps, bootlegs and misdirection plays with some of your fastest players on offense? The defense will take notice because it's a foot race between your guy and their boundary defender. This is how you get a safety to cheat up and blow his assignment on the back end of the endzone.

You see it damn near every gameday now and it's something we should be doing routinely with our offense.

Even the run heavy teams like the 49ers, Eagles and Ravens know this and they at the minimum mix in at least one or two play calls that offer some element of freezing the defense or getting the linebackers to move left or right just enough to move the coverage away from a potential TD opportunity.

I get the idea of hustling to the line to maybe force them to call the TO or catch them just as winded. Giving it right back to Bigsby was a bad choice.

Once the gimmick didn't stick, settle down, catch a breath, call a damn money play. Then let Little kick the XP.

The draw might have been better on down 1 or 2, but one thing we certainly appear to lack is situational awareness.
