Y'all, a lot of this stuff you're posting isn't right. If you want to know what is actually going on in WNC you need to find people who live there are are documenting what is actually going on.

The military is all over the area. They made it to Spruce Pine and surrounding towns/villages doing welfare checks. I know this from a friend of mine who lives in Little Switzerland just up the mountain from SP. They knocked on her door as well as all of her neighbors. At least one Chinook dropped off supplies.

FEMA supplies from Texas tried to get there but the idiots tried to come over on I-40 which is closed at the TN border. I guess no one actually watched the news or checked TN DOT or NC DOT sites to see what routes to take. Stupid bureaucrats. I can't speak to anything else about FEMA.

What I'm hearing from my friend and seeing from actual people who live there and documenting what's happening, things are very, very different than what people are posting and reposting on X, tiktok and other social media platforms.

Nerdy and Eva is a youtube channel that has been collecting info from different people's social media as well as ham radio transmissions from around the area and that's some of what will tell you the truth of what is going on.

WFMY News 2 is on YT and is reporting from different areas with stories from those who survived some pretty sketchy situations.

I'm not saying everything on MSM and social media is incorrect but I am saying a lot of it is either straight up BS or it's only painting a distorted picture of what's going on likely to fit political views from both sides of the aisle. Or to just stir the pot and cause further division among Americans.
