I'll jump in here as well.  Grew up a Redskins fan which I've stated from time to time around here.  When we were awarded the Jaguars I was an immediate fan, but the Redskins still came first for a few years after due to my inner desire to remain loyal to my team.  I later realized the team of the town that I moved to a year after I was born and the town that I had lived in my whole life should be my only team.  This shift was accelerated after attending my first NFL games during the '99 season.  I went to the Saints Sunday night game that year and the playoff win against the Dolphins.  This was probably around the end of me holding the Redskins above the Jaguars.  I think I casually followed them for a couple of years longer, but as a man you eventually come to the realization you can't have more than 1 team.  Mostly downhill for the Jags since then unfortunately with a few rewarding years sprinkled in.

If I play the game of where would I be had the Jaguars never existed?  Well, let's see.  The Redskins almost certainly had the worst ownership in the league for the past 25 years with very few playoff appearances.  And they changed their name because their moniker was once used as a pejorative. Though, such negative thoughts about Native Americans never crossed my mind when thinking about my former team's name. As bad as we've had it here, I would have been worse off as a Redskins/Commanders fan for the past 25 years which I'm sure I would still be.  That said, if the Jaguars ever moved and killed my fanhood, I don't believe I'd go back to the Commanders.  That emotional link has been sufficiently severed.  Not sure where I'd wind up in that scenario.
