The only reason to keep them is if you're not sure if you're wanting to move on from them. If you already know that answer get them out and start over asap. Who knows maybe the interim coach and pull off a miracle.

Was talking about this yesterday regarding a different team (go gata). It's really not worthwhile to mid-season fire unless:
- you have someone on staff that you believe is capable of the trial run
- you believe that keeping the coaches in place does harm to player development
- you believe that moving on somehow improves player development

There are obviously other circumstances that might force one's hand, but if you got a pile of dook to work with, grabbing a shovel and turning it over isn't gonna turn it into gold.

Urbz got way more than 4 weeks and it seemed like he was doing everything within his capability to dictate a firing. 0-4 is a bad start, but by no means is it the end of everything. Overreaction will get you nowhere but a constant cycle of restarting and negative progress.

I wasn't trying to imply that Doug should be fired now. I was simply saying if Shad already knows he's gone then he should do it now. As far as it not being worthwhile, my argument is it doesn't have to be. The real question should be why not? There doesn't have to be a benefit in letting him go (again assuming Shad knows he's firing him anyways), there simply needs to not be a negative in letting him go. Like if letting him go would hurt players in some way then keep him but if not, gut ties. In my opinion if Shad removed him now that would send a message that he isn't playing around and he could hire a firm to start looking for the next candidate. That's months headstart on interviewing everyone and their brother.
