You put that on the table, those other sites are gonna take the opportunity to spend two years on expansion/upgrades needed to make their place the host, and then point and laugh at the buffoons in ORD.

If ORD can promise the prospect of developing a completely novel influx of fanbase like London does [did], only then can they entertain the notion of mandating a long-term remote scheduling option. Spoiler: ORD certainly ain't got dook on London.

The argument should instead be that if ORD pays for the necessary upgrades to their facility to accomodate the shield, suddenly they enter the conversations for the big-ticket bowl games or CCGs, exhibitions and such. That's where the silver lining lies.
