Disagree, Baalke brought him in to be the replacement for the Ridley/Zay combo in either the 1 or 2 spot depending on how you view Kirk. At the time there was no BTj so it's not reasonable to say he was expecting Davis to be any lower than 2 on the WR depth chart. Now that BTj is here it's still Davis who is the other outside receiver. I'm not concerned about Davis, I just have no expectations because he's just a guy; a 40 catch a year guy who disappears for long stretches of games.

There was no BTJ but they were still trying to resign Ridley. They knew if they didnt get Ridley they were getting a WR early.  He was never brought here to be a high volume guy, he was brought here to make some big catches down field and score TDs.  Hopefully he can go this week.
