No way can anyone come in and make significant changes to schemes or the roster but I'm worried by the lack of fight and effort from these players. We've seen it before with Jags team where that losing mentality settles in and as soon as we fall behind games are over. Sadly I don't see anyone on the staff who can fire this team up but we're saying performances like this from us way too much.

This roster is not bad, we have so much talent on the O but it just isn't working right now.

Right. 100% agree. And that's why change needs to happen. But that attitude isn't getting fixed mid-season. They showed last week that they were still fighting. They've continued to fight today. The play-calling in the second quarter was horrific, and I think that series of offensive play calls is what set this team off today. It was that bad. They had 6 offensive plays in the second quarter, none went over 5 yards. That completely detailed the whole team.

And there is no change that can happen mid-season that fixes that. A coaching change now will come with a continuation of the playbook and schemes the players already know. The interim coach will be somebody already on the team.

I know your right and I know Doug going isn't going to change anything in the short term but something needs to happen. I'm not saying firing but some kind of adjustments to systems or who's calling plays, just something. I've been confident we could turn things around even after the bad start but we look so far off it at the moment. D giving up so many points, so many stupid penalties, turnovers. It's so frustrating seeing us beat ourselves over and over again.
