Tua makes 53.1M/yr and Trevor makes 55/yr.  This still ties him with Burrow and Love for 2nd highest.

He really doesn't make $55M per year though. His salary this year is $1.5M with a $37.5M signing bonus for a total compensation of $39M for 2024. For 2025 and 2026, his total compensation is $37.5M per year. For 2027, his total compensation is $41.5M and for 2028 it's $46.5M and that's where the guarantees end. The signing bonus is amortized over the life of the deal so it will push his cap number higher in future years, but you're attempting to run victory laps over his contract which is actually very team friendly when you take a look at it and it's designed to be re-done in a few years if/when he and this offense eventually take off.

Also, his cap hit eventually gets to $47M in 2028. Beyond that it escalates to $78M & $75M the following years but those are non-guaranteed funny money years. The deal will either have been re-done prior to those years or we'll have moved on if he regresses or is injured. The deal is actually pretty well done and very team friendly.
