She grew up as an Eagles fan and said that Doug has a "lightning in a bottle" aspect with his coaching. He realizes success early on but just peters out after a couple of seasons. Pretty much along the lines of what I said about his short shelf life as an effective coach. Doug's mental makeup simply isn't constructed to deal with the stress of maintaining a high level of achievement. That's just the way it is. |
