Washington at the time was justifiably viewed as a developmental player with big time ball security issues. You don't pencil those guys into key roles until they prove themselves.

He still bobbles a lot of footballs and loses them going to the ground. I hold my breath when he gets the ball.

Washington has made exactly one play on returns this year. This kind of thing is why people get so in their feelings later on.
