I just don't know why we keep putting our players in situations that are not ideal for their skillset.  This D should be playing much better.  We have injuries that have hurt us.  But the way Neilsen is using our players does not help.

They DON'T keep putting Hines-Allen in this situation. That's the point. 

Nielsen has probably sent 2 DBs like that 8 times out of 480 defensive snaps this year. 

But if 41 is ever asked to do something besides kill the QB, people lose their minds without analyzing the play. 

The pats had the right play dialed up against a blitz. 
It happens, man. Not indicative of some overarching scheme failure. There's plenty of legitimate stuff to complain about. No need to be confused about this little outlier.

I don't want to see JHA do much more than rush the passer or keep contain, but I don't mind that particular defensive call on occasion, especially with a rookie QB on the other side that should be easier to confuse.  The fail was all on JHA on that play.  He appeared to believe that he was just going to escort Hasty out of bounds.  It was either a catastrophic lapse in effort, concentration or both.
