They remember being in the stands and watching as the guy burst through the line or caught an unreal pass or made a crazy tackle or whatever. They remember not just what they saw, but the smell that was in the stadium, how it sounded when everyone else erupted, how it freaking felt to be there when the player made a great play. You simply cannot reproduce that memory that's in the fans' mind.

 

I would imagine that the fan whose butt is actually in the seat, and is paying the team to drink their beer and eat their food is a whole lot more important than the fan who is sitting at a BW3.

Exactly my point. Thanks for relating to it. To have been there is a whole different scenario. Those who would rather watch on tv is their option, and I I understand that. But comparing the memories as being the same is like comparing the memories of the first time you got laid vs the first time you watched a skin flick on tv.

Anyway... Funny how Freddy is being compared to Mojo and some claims of him being better, yet the memory of his Fragile Fred moniker forgotten. we remember the good. Both guys left it all on the field. Fred even left the nads. I remember that game as well.

Same will go for MJD... In a few years, his on field performances will be what we remember.... When we remember a certain play and 60,000 fans chanting Drewwwwwww. You had to be there.
