Doug's shown in the past few weeks that the offense simplified and has started to work. We still drag [BLEEP] out the gate, but eventually heat up. Now the impetus in on Nielsen to show whether he can do the same for this D or he'll be unemployed by January.

The radio guys said something that counters this though. I think it was DiRocco who said (paraphrased) "these players are running the reps 20 times in practice perfectly, then they go into the game and act like they've never seen the play before. That's why Pederson is frustrated."

We need to face the fact that we have some guys here who are mentally soft and just wilt in the bright lights. Change the scheme all you want, that doesn't stop a guy from fumbling or falling down in coverage, or like Lacy yesterday, getting pushed 6 yards off the line every run play.
