I have strong doubts there was a gold rush on getting the trademark for "The House that Johnny Built" Seeing how Johnny hasn't proven or built a damn thing, I also don't see that there is a market for this as yet. The knock on him is that he is too wrapped up in the Hollywood aspect of his fame. A lot of coaches and GMs will look at this as evidence his ego and need for attention could be a distraction. To say you're 100% focused on football at the pro day and to do this days later makes it hard to take him at his word. He doesn't need to 'get that money.' He was born into it. If his ego needs such feeding, he could have easily applied for this trademark after the draft as this surely does not help his draft stock. I like his game and feel it can translate to the next level, but I also only feel this is possible if he gets rid of some of the distractions. I always want a QB who feels he is the best. But the NFL is unforgiving and has a short attention span. This move convinces me less that he has the mental capacity to cash those checks his mouth is writing. He may prove me wrong, but I just don't get why he needed to do this before he was drafted or has even seen what he can actually do on the next level.
