He may prove me wrong, but I just don't get why he needed to do this before he was drafted or has even seen what he can actually do on the next level.

 

How long did it take Manziel to go 'ok' and the sign some papers? Less time than it takes to do an NFLN interview or a car commercial.

 

I hate this 100% attention on football thing. Forget TV and Hollywood, should players not have families? They take focus and time.


Nobody should have 100% of their attention on work. Does he work hard in practice, in the film room, in the weight room and in the locker room? If the answer is yes then as far as I am concerned he is focused on football. What he does outside of football, as long as its within the law is his own business and if that's using his name to make money, more power to him. Nobody ever says guys who do charity work, or who invest in sports bars or who have 10 illegitimate kids by 8 different women in 6 different states are allowing themselves to be distracted from football. Why is what Manziel doing different?
