The fifth year option (2025) was going to cost 25.7M, under the new deal he'll cost us nearly 9M less than that.

Have you REALLY seen that poor of performance out of him that you think we'd be better off pushing the reset button and starting from scratch with the next Bryce Young or Blake Bortles or some such? Let him play under the guarantee, while Dak gets a 60-million dollar deal  to reset the market (who has 1 less TD and 4 more picks, mind you), and we get to reassess this offer after that and other QBs get their shot to make the cost even more?

Fact of the matter is he got fair market value. His performance has been fair for the market. "Stuck" with him is just crazy talk.  You make it like he's flecking Daniel Jones or Bortles. Those were deals for which teams had nothing but regerts. He ain't a major factor why we lose. He's a major factor why we aren't losing by 20+ like when Gabbert was the man.
