Your exactly right. And with social media allowing you to block out any opinion different to your own and endlessly talking about how terrible whatever Trump has done is, they rile each other up. Obviously this isn't just limited to the left but it just undermines arguments and criticism when that's all that happens, especially when there's something genuine to be unhappy about.

I'm watching another unfriending cycle play out on Facebook.  Smaller scale than the last two, thankfully.  I guess most everyone's already been sorted by now.  Sad!

The media, the Democrat elected politicians, and the Democrat voters.
The media is trying to make money.  They amped up everything Trump did, to get lots of people watching, and Trump played along with it!
The Democrat elected politicians didn't want to play along, wanted to save their ammo, but, it was a prisoners dilemma.  The first Democrat to offer themselves to the media for an outrageous reaction to Trump's outrageous action would get their name in the media, and move up in the Democrat ranks.
The Democrat voters, they were just along for the ride.  Don't judge them for any of that.

You make some good points but that division was part of the problem. I don't fault Democrat voters for not liking Trump or being negative as a default. The problem like you state was the media and certain politicians willing to play the outrage card for views and attention and it hurt the times there were genuine reasons for a Democrat to feel that.

My argument would be if people think Trump is as crazy and vengeful as some think, bide your time, he will do something that will deserve scrutiny and criticism.

I agree! Maybe the media has learned something and will hold their fire.  I think many in the media have.  But it's a prisoner's dilemma, like I said, when anything can go viral, anyone can make a name for themselves by firing first, even if that hurts their cause, even if that hurts the entire country.
My fellow southpaw Mark Brunell will probably always be my favorite Jaguar.
