USA Farmers are subsidized $30 billion per year.  Being a farmer in this country simply means owning a bunch of land to reap the government benefits of getting huge handouts paid by us taxpayers.  Such a joke.

What an incredibly ignorant statement.

Many farmers have degrees in both Agriculture and Business/Finance, both skills very much needed to run a farm.  A single farm might gross 2 or 3 million per year, but after operating expenses they are lucky to net maybe 45k per year depending on the weather that year.

Also, farming is at least a 6 day per week job, sometimes 7 if animals are involved.  Many days might be 14-16 hour days.
