We were all sold a bag of [BLEEP], he never wanted to be Andy Reid.  He just wanted to role play Andy Reid, and then coast on his SB win.

I don't get all the Ben Johnson love. He apparently didn't interview well in Washington, which would've been a golden opportunity for him. He wanted too much money for Carolina. I'm sensing a huge ego. Kudos to him for getting consistent production from Goff, but how much of that is Goff being out to show the world the Rams were wrong to dump him? Goff also has a very talented offensive line and great weapons. Trevor would light it up in that offense. 

Every year, there are hotshot offensive coordinators, like Dave Canales. Then they go somewhere with lesser QB talent (see Stefanski) or their star QB goes down (see McDaniels) and they are no longer super creative QB whisperers.

If I had a great job in hand and folks wanted to pull me away from it, I'd be demanding, too. Washington was a very unique circumstance - new ownership, complete restart at the most important position, and a heap of uncertainty. I'd have been just as tenuous to make my first venture into head coaching that job, too. Don't blame him for asking for the moon from Tepper, it would take a whole lot to subject oneself to a guanopsychotic owner who is likely going to meddle and get in your way more than you'd like, or be super volatile with changing leadership.

Where we stand, it's best to give everyone a look, a chance to make their claim to the job. I don't really care if a guy interviews well if he can get results on the field (ever listen to Belichick address the media?). On the same token, you don't want a smooth talking snake oil salesman who promises the world and delivers a marble.

Carp appears to have some obsessive personality disorder the way he finds a guy, good or bad, and just can't quit talking about him. Lawrence, Press, Doug, Boselli, now Ben Johnson...all examples of how he processes everything into a single target. The only difference is whether he's effusive in praise or criticism, but either way it seems compulsive for him.

He isn't the only one here banging this drum, and in light of the conversation being had (drop a blank check in the visiting locker room postdated to Jan 6), I don't see this call-out necessary.

Yes TDC responded to his post, but I got a more general reply to the conversation vibe than picking nits with the quoted post. Maybe I'm just enjoying my coffee, though.
