Absolutely.

But I would add, fixing the deficit/debt problem will not be easy.  We will have to cut Medicare and social security, and tax cuts have to be off the table.

Also I would add there are many more that CBO or OIRA just did not look at as Biden stopped them. He signed this executive order.

Lets be serious

First, the bar right now is low. If you use the Government's own inflation cost calculator a good that cost $1.00 before Biden will cost you $1.21 today.

Second, the government like any good business needs a good cleaning time to time. It does not mean the people are bad. A business has revenue it gets from consumers. Sure it can raise prices, but this could affect sales and actually reduce revenue. They have competition. that keeps them in check. So periodically they either get more productive, cut waste and cut "dead wood" or they fade into oblivion.

Our Government does not have that same check. They just increase revenue (taxes) after all it is someone else's money. The voters this election and in a pretty substantial way are applying that pressure.

**opinion** We do not have a taxing issue, we have a spending issue. There are many other issues but financially this is the root cause of our financial problems.
A new broom always sweeps clean.
