Elite Pass Rusher or Elite Wide Receiver?

#34

Quote:It can, but a strong pass rush is something which comes from a whole team, not one player. For example, Clowney, if he comes here could set rookie records, he could be rampant, but I still don't think we as a defense would be top 10 in sacks or pass defense because the rest of the team doesn't have enough impact players to take advantage of the disruption he will cause.
Everything that happens on both sides of the ball, be it success or failure, is a product of the effort and talent of the whole team, not a single player.  That's undisputed.

I agree that bottom of the barrel to top ten is an unrealistic expectation, but Clowney, in addition to the FA moves, could/should bring us to middle of the pack.  A single season jump of 15-16 positions or so is a huge increase in any category.

When you get into the endzone, act like you've been there before.

ABOUT US
The Jungle Forums is the Jaguars' biggest fan message board. Talking about the Jags since 2006, the Jungle was the team-endorsed home of all things Jaguars.

Since 2017, the Jungle is now independent of the team but still run by the same crew. We are here to support and discuss all things Jaguars and all things Duval!
