Even when the Jags when 8-3 at the start of last season...it was smoke and mirrors.   When they lost the first game against a rookie CJ Stroud...it was a foreboding of things to come.

I kept saying this last year...

I kept saying that the offense didn't look right.  It didn't look like it did in 2022.  The entire 2023 season was a red flag.  Something was off after that 2022 run.  I kept telling people that it looked off.  To me, it wasn't the players.  I think the coaches just decided to rest on their laurels.  We got soft and fat off a good season and our coaches didn't do enough to get the players better.

Draft.  Develop.  Repeat.

We never develop.  That's on coaching.

Geez dude, you really are the most obstinately wrong person I've ever talked to. You think the coaches just rest on their laurels while the players fumble TDs, drop passes all over the place, let the QB get murdered, miss tackles, drop INTs, can't collapse the pocket, can't stop anything shorter than 4th and 40...it's just laughable. Do you think adding Bill Belichick tomorrow will make these things better in two weeks? Hint, it won't. You deny the most basic principle of football, ie Jimmy and Joe not X and O. As long as you hold to that position you'll never be right about the problem.
