I agree with this.  But to me, it's because we have incompetence in terms of developing talent...

Or... and here me out... the constant reaches and [BLEEP] drafting that we have complained about for years was actually the problem.

You expect the coaches to turn scrubs into pro-bowlers? They need to at least have some talent to work with.
