He knows how to win in the regular season.  He's dealt with divas in the front office and on the field.  He's made Dak Prescott look like an OK QB. 

I know I've been saying that I don't want any retread HCs.  But if we're gonna go with a retread.  I want Mike McCarthy.  Dude is gonna have a chip on his should, and he's gonna come in guns blazing.  Additionally, he'll probably be bringing in all his coaches that are salivating to prove Dallas wrong.  This would be the best retread option available.  And I'd bet McCarthy would absolutely sign here.

He'd be Doug 2.0 in my opinion. I don't get the sense that he is a players coach like Dan Campbell or an X's and O's guy like a lafluer/KOC/shanahan type.

Id prefer the latter but I think we need one of those 2 archetypes.
