I think that might matter to people who pay attention to politics, but there are a lot of people who are busy with work and kids or anything else, and all they know is that grocery prices and everything else went up during the Biden administration.  Identity politics has been around for a long time, but grocery prices went up mostly in the last 4 years.  

Yes, people don't like identity politics, but grocery prices is like getting hit in the head with a 2x4.  It's a much more potent issue.
