I say what I believe but I also reply to posts that are wrong, explaining why they are wrong.  I don't mind being personally attacked for it. It would be better, next time I post saying you are wrong, to simply explain why you think you are right, and not personally attack me while doing so.

I repeat, if you ignore the personal attacks, they will dry up eventually.

You get a lot of "I disagree, but I respect you." Congratulations. If I ever got that, it would mean nothing to me. I'm looking for "I didn't know that, thanks for pointing that out" or "I already knew that and I'm not persuaded because ..."

I'm seeking exchange of ideas, not feelings. Anyone engaging in any kind of personal attack is already a distraction to me and I might as well make it amusing if we're all going to be distracted anyways.
