For 3-1/2 years, we had a President who could not go out and sell his own policies to the American people. Then when Harris came in, and she was asked if she would have done anything different, she couldn't come up with anything. A very large part of being President is selling your ideas to the American people. Biden got these big expensive programs passed, and then he seemed to think he was done. No need to go out and explain it. No need to go out and sell it. And Harris was no better.
I know a lot of the inflation was caused by supply chain disruptions due to the Covid epidemic. And a lot of it was also caused by paying people to not work. Both Trump and Biden did that. But all people see is that the price of their groceries has gone up and they are getting squeezed financially.
The Presidency is a political job. It takes a politician to do it well. Biden and Harris were lousy politicians.
Everyone with a bit of sense knew what caused inflation, then there was those on the right who simply blamed Biden without a shred of evidence.
It worked.
But in the end, sadly, whatever the cause, people will often vote with their wallets, not reality.
They spent too much time pandering to the minorities that didn't show out to vote for them. I think the biggest thing that needs to be discussed is, how in the hell, did the Democratic party and Democratic turnout go from 81,283,501 votes to 74,441,420 votes. Massive swing.
Also, it's a little shallow to think that people just voted based on their wallets and not reality. The reality is that this administration was also recklessly, and, CONTINUES to recklessly, inch our nation and the rest of the world into a global conflict.
Throwing tax dollars out the [BLEEP] to Ukraine and Israel? Throwing weapons towards Ukraine to piss Russia off some more fairly recently? Come on now. Even the left leaning liberals at the major indoctrination campuses were protesting in lockstep in full support of Palestine.
The Democratic party failed to read their room and know their audience on that one in particular. Sure, money is important to the majority of us here. We have mouths to feed. A bleak future to hope like hell we can save up for to survive, etc.
However, there was a lot of turmoil over the last three and a half years on a Geopolitical scale along with the border situation getting worse with this administration. People were getting sick and tired of seeing illegals getting treated like first class citizens while being dumped into already disenfranchised communities with struggling minorities to begin with.
Once again, the Democratic party failing to read the room and know their audience in this case. It was not all about inflation.
