Building draft capital is nice, but drafting the right guys is 1,000 times more important.  I no longer care if we have a high draft pick or not.  What I care about is getting a good GM and a good HC and letting them sort things out.  That is 1,000 times more important than whether we have the 1st pick or the 8th pick.

It does seem like we would have learned that lesson by now, with two #1 draft picks in the last 4 years, and we're 3-10.  Obviously, having the #1 pick is not the key to success.  Having the #1 pick means you suck, you're the worst team in the league.  Does anyone really want to be the worst team in the league again so we can get the #1 overall pick again?  Not me.
