You just highlighted the problem.  Some are such blind fans they are not looking at the situation correctly. He isn't a bad QB but time to face facts he probably will never be a star or considered elite outside of the blind fans.

Building draft capital is nice, but drafting the right guys is 1,000 times more important.  I no longer care if we have a high draft pick or not.  What I care about is getting a good GM and a good HC and letting them sort things out.  That is 1,000 times more important than whether we have the 1st pick or the 8th pick.

I no longer care about how high we pick.  It's not about where you pick it's who you pick.  The elite teams in the league always draft near the middle to bottom of the draft but they stay good.  I can't remember the last time the Steelers had a top 10 pick but they are competitive every year.

The truth is our scouting sucks, the GM sucks, and the owner refuses to hold the staff accountable.
