It does seem like we would have learned that lesson by now, with two #1 draft picks in the last 4 years, and we're 3-10.  Obviously, having the #1 pick is not the key to success.  Having the #1 pick means you suck, you're the worst team in the league.  Does anyone really want to be the worst team in the league again so we can get the #1 overall pick again?  Not me.

Thank you. I thought I was taking crazy pills reading some of these posts. We've shown again and again that #1 picks, hell top 5 picks don't make a difference. There's so much evidence but now it's going to be different?

I'm tired of getting the #1 pick being a good outcome for the season  and something we should aim for. I'd much rather be a team like the Panthers who are fighting like crazy right now with a bad roster but showing heart and effort. Time and time again I'm seeing people on here saying we need to be like this team or that team (basically whoever is good this season). This year it's the Lions. Well let's look at the Lions under Dan Campbell.

The first season they started 0-10-1 before winning a game and ended up 3-13-1. Next season they started 1-6 before turning it around and going 9-8 and missing the playoffs. Next season they start 8-2 and finish 12-5. At no point did they pack it in and give up. They fought even when endlessly losing and that culture and approach paid off in the long term. I'm sick of us accepting bad seasons and complaining when we win games. That's been the culture round here way too long and needs to change. Especially with some fans.
