Not always, but in the Weimar German context, the Nazi, Protestant and Monarchist parties were the right wing, the Catholic party was the center and the Socialists were left.  The parties I labelled right wing tended to vote together and they tended to vote against the Socialists.

Look dude. The number one rule when you're attempting to understand information is to ask yourself the question, "Compared to what?" When we look at Germany, there was a communist threat, where the left was aggregating state power, promising to make all things equal, and attempting to replace German identity with a universal identity. The people didn't like it, so they said if we're going to use state power, let's use it to quash this new threat and maintain German identity. However, they replaced any right wing, individualist principles to defeat the immediate and pressing threat which was the communists. The adopted LEFTIST ideas and values to do so, making them far, far left of your average American.

Now, if you want to say history is repeating itself, go ahead. I was warning about this in 2016 when Trump was running for the first time. I've always said there's a real threat of fascism with Trump. That's because you idiots keep letting our leftists move too far to the left. The only way to defeat that power is with state power.
